The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus

About this edition

Before the sleigh bells and Christmas stockings, there was a child in an enchanted forest.

Raised by a wood nymph among the immortals of Burzee, young Claus knows little of the world beyond the trees. When he discovers the hardships faced by human children, he finds his purpose: to bring them joy.

In the Laughing Valley, a simple carved toy becomes the beginning of something extraordinary. But kindness has its enemies. As Claus sets out to share his gifts, the wicked Awgwas threaten his work, and his woodland friends must rally to his aid.

From the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz comes an imaginative origin story filled with enchanted creatures, daring adventures, and the beginnings of cherished Christmas traditions. Baum weaves toy-making, reindeer journeys, and Christmas Eve visits into a fairy tale about generosity and the courage to care for others.

This collector's edition features 10+ original illustrations that give readers a fresh visual companion to the story, alongside an original biography of L. Frank Baum, introducing the life of the author behind the magic.

Whether shared aloud during the holidays or enjoyed in a quiet moment by the fire, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus invites readers to imagine how one person's kindness could become a tradition shared by generations.
