About the imprint
A small press in the North
Anne Angelo Publishing House is an independent publisher in Whitehorse, Yukon. We craft timeless Collector’s Editions and original works.
Our story
Anne Angelo Publishing House was founded by Michael Hunter in Whitehorse, Yukon, and is registered in the Yukon as Anne Angelo Publishing. What began with a handful of titles has grown into a numbered series of more than 60 Collector’s Editions, from Dickens and Brontë to Agatha Christie, Hemingway and Jack London.
Our aim is simple: to give great books the editions they deserve, and to publish new work of our own alongside them.
What goes into a Collector’s Edition
- Original illustrations made for the edition, most by our illustrator Angelo Zammit
- An original biography of the author in most titles, and in some titles a modern companion, translation or commentary
- The complete text, cleanly typeset for comfortable reading
- Three formats for most titles: paperback, hardcover and Kindle
- A numbered series with a consistent look across the shelf
Original works
Alongside the Collector’s Editions we publish books written and compiled by Michael Angelo Hunter, including The Great Public Companies and The Conviction Trade. See them all in the catalogue.
From the Yukon
We also publish the Almanac of the Yukon, a free weekly newsletter about life and change in the territory.
